Sadie Lynn battled a rare form of breast cancer that struck her when she was only 19. Her goal is to help educate and increase awareness not just with women but youth.
We honor the memory of Lauren Skillman who was diagnosed with cancer at the young age of 18 and lost her battle at 21.
Honored to join the fight with Tarter Farm & Ranch Equipment and the All-American Cowgirl Chicks in a special edition equipment.
Early detection is the best defense against breast cancer. It is recommended that all adult women receive a clinical breast exam by a healthcare provider at least every three years to check for lumps. However, a mammogram is the best detector of breast cancer and uses x-rays to find lumps before they become big enough to feel. It is recommended that all women over the age of 40 receive a mammogram annually.
Certain factors affect a person's risk of developing breast cancer. Age is a significant factor; as a woman grows older, her risk of developing breast cancer increases. A woman aged 20 has a less than 0.1% chance of developing breast cancer while a woman aged 60 has a more than 3% chance of developing breast cancer. Other important indicators of increased risk include family history of breast cancer, race/ethinicy, and age of first period and first childbirth.
In 2024, an estimated 310,720 women and 2,800 men in the United States were diagnosed with invasive breast cancer
